Tianzhou 10 launched on Long March 7 from the national Wenchang Space Launch Site at 08:14 Beijing time on May 11, 2026. CASC confirmed successful orbital insertion, the Long March family's 641st flight and China's first human-spaceflight-programme launch of the year. The cargo spacecraft carried no astronauts. Developed by the Fifth Academy, Tianzhou 10 uses an improved four-tank configuration with a 7.4-tonne cargo capacity. This flight carried about 6.2 tonnes of supplies in more than 220 packages, plus 700 kilograms of propellant. Cargo included an external spacesuit, consumables, maintenance equipment and experiment hardware for upcoming crews and station operations. The spacecraft was planned to remain docked for one year. CASC described the gradual extension of Tianzhou mission durations from roughly six months to nine or ten months and this new schedule. A planned stay is not an elapsed operational result. The First Academy's Long March 7 incorporated 15 technical improvements and flew a fault-diagnosis system experiment. Launch and docking are separate milestones; the docking result is recorded independently rather than inferred from liftoff.
