NASA announced initial Artemis II rollout plans on 14 January, targeting departure from the VAB no earlier than 7 a.m. EST on 17 January for pad 39B. Technical preparations and weather could change the start. Crawler-transporter 2 would carry the approximately 11-million-pound combined stack and platform along a four-mile route taking up to twelve hours. That transport weight is not payload capacity. Ground checks and wet dress rehearsal would follow, with possible return for further work. The then-earliest 6 February launch opportunity still depended on readiness assessment. This January plan is not rewritten using April’s flight outcome. Advance rollout, arrival, rehearsal and launch are different milestones.
